Rice Salad: Insalata di Riso

Enjoy a refreshing Italian Rice Salad with a delightful mix of flavors! This vibrant dish features Arborio rice, tuna, cherry tomatoes, diced ham, mozzarella, and pitted black olives. The secret ingredient? Condiriso Berni Classic! Drizzle with olive oil, chill, and serve for a satisfying meal.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes ( 2h before serving )

Portion for: 4 People

Ingredients:

  • 500g Arborio rice 
  • 2 Jar Condiriso Berni Classic
  • 160g Tuna in oil drained 
  • 100g cherry tomatoes 
  • 100g Cooked ham - diced
  • 80g mozzarella 
  • 80g Black olives - pitted
  • Pinch of Salt 
  • Olive Oil

Optional: Mayonnaise 

Instructions:

Cook the Arborio Rice:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the Arborio rice and cook until al dente (about 14-15 minutes).
  3. Drain the rice and spread it on a baking sheet to cool.

TIP: Before assembling the rice, ensure that it has cooled to below 30°C

Prepare the Ingredients:

  1. Cut the cherry tomatoes into halves.
  2. Dice the cooked ham.
  3. Cut the mozzarella into small pieces.
  4. Coarsely chop the pitted black olives.
  5. Drain the Condiriso and put it in a bowl

Assemble the Salad:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooled Arborio rice, tuna, cherry tomatoes, diced ham, mozzarella, and black olives.
  2. Add the contents of the Condiriso Berni Classic
  3. Add a bit of Olive Oil

    Chill and Serve:

    Refrigerate the rice salad for at least an hour (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.

    Serve chilled or at room temperature.

    Optional: Add Mayonnaise to enhance the flavour when serving.
